Most HR software assumes a January to December year. Many organisations here close their books in early July, and that changes how leave and payroll behave.
Make the fiscal year a setting
In Warka the fiscal year start is set per organisation. Leave accrual, carry-over and payroll periods all read from that one setting.
Test the edges
- Employees who join mid-year
- Leave that spans the year boundary
- Payroll runs during the closing month
Small details like these decide whether HR trusts the numbers.
